[Review] Innisfree - The Green Tea Seed Eye Cream

Once again i'm starting a post with an apology...
I opened a new shop, it's big, wonderful and most of all, mine, which makes me extremely proud, but also extremely busy, there are just too many things to do, clients to serve, and people to call or mail.
And that basically leaves no time for me. I get Sunday Morning off, but i usually just sleep till 11AM because i'm way too tired to function.
That said, i missed blogging soooo much i couldn't bear to stay away from it any longer, So Here i am again! I will try my best to upload regularly, i swear. ( °٢° )

Now into the review!

you may be shocked, but it's not an Etude House product. <('o'<)

What i want to talk about today is a skin care product! More precisely, an Eye Cream!

One of the most famous and loved line from Innisfree it's their Green Tea skin care line, there are 4 different Green Tea level of moisture depending on your skin problem, which is amazing, because you can get  the products that fit  better your type of skin, without going for a cream that promise to cure problems for all types of skin! ヽ(〃^▽^〃)ノ

The Green Tea Fresh Line : Oily Skin
The Green Tea Balancing Line: Combination Skin
The Green Tea Moisture Line: Dry Skin
The Green Tea Seed Line: Special Moisturizing And Nourishing Care Line

Since i have really really dry under-eye, i'm always on the lookout for extra hydrating creams, i actually also have some fine lines under the eyes, which really bothers me, to the point where i get really uncomfortable when people watch my eyes for too long because all i can think off is what people are thinking of the fine lines o(╥﹏╥)o

I used the Holika Holika Bulgarian Rose eye cream (you can read my review about it Here) for a lot of time, but i feel that sometimes products loose some of their efficacy once you use them for too long and your skin get's used to it, so i'm always on the lookout for new stuff to try on ≧◡≦ (Let's be honest, isn't it fun to try new stuff? (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧)

As i am kinda obsessed with Innisfree products,so  i thought i could give their Green Tea Seed eye cream a try.

The packaging that it comes with a a square green cartoon (made of recycled paper of course)  with infos and the list of ingredients in both English and Korean:

yes the box is a little broken here and there, it's because i keep it in my bag all the times.┐(‘~`;)┌

"This antioxidant moisture eye cream is formulated with freshly squeezed Jeju green tea seeds to deliver moisture and nourishment to your eye area"

The product itself comes in a green round plastic case, find it really really really adorable, i just love how simple yet cute Innisfree products can be ≧◡≦

Once you uncap it, there is a safety cap to keep the dirt away from the actual product (mines just sticks to the lid every time i open it (´ω`))

There are 30ml of products, which is pretty good for an eye cream, since the area you need to moisturize is really small, and it's always better not to put too many products on the skin, as it makes absorption easier, and it also help the skin to actually get all the benefits from the cream (●⌒∇⌒●)

Since it was from the "Special Moisturizing And Nourishing" Line, i thought i had found the perfect product for me! Moisture and Nourishment are exactly what i need!

The cream is amazingly light! It takes no time to be absorbed on the skin and it also has a nice pleasant green tea smell \(^-^)/

Sadly it's not as moisturizing as i was expecting ∑(゜Д゜;) it does provide moisture, and my eyes  feel lighter and softer after applying it, but it's just not enough for my too-dry-for-this-world-under-eye-skin.
Probably for people with normal or slightly dry skin this cream would be perfect, as even i can see the instant brightness after applying it.

After using it for 4 months, my under eye area is less dry than it was when i first started using it, but it's not enough for my type of skin.

If you have don't have horribly dry skin like me, i totally recommend this product! And the whole Green Tea Seed Line actually  (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

PROs:
✿ Smells amazing
✿ Travel Friendly
✿ Brightens under eye area
✿ Not heavy on the skin
✿ Perfect for normal and not too dry skin

CONs:
✿ Not enough moisturizing for really dry under eyes

What do you guys think about it? Have some of you tried it? Do you have any eye cream to recommend to me that i should try? Let me know!

  3. Congrats on the opening of your shop! It looks super cute!!
I was eyeing for the Green Tea series from Innisfree for sometime and it's too bad that they're not moisturizing enough...It probably wouldn't work with me either since I need a super moisturized eye cream.
